U.S. Embassy Donates Books to a University in Siem Reap
On behalf of the U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh, Public Affairs Officer Sean McIntosh and Regional Information Resource OfficerWendy Simmons donated hundreds of books on American life, geography, history, society, and culture to the University of Southeast Asia in Siem Reap. The university president, Sean Sovanna, received the “American Bookshelf” collection on behalf of the University of Southeast Asia. The collection also contains a comprehensive collection of reference materials, such as encyclopedias, atlases, and dictionaries. University of Southeast Asia students and the general public are welcomed to access this collection of books. This book donation provides supplementary reading materials that are otherwise nonexistent for the students in this province.
