Surindra Rajabhat University is a state-run university under the jurisdiction of the Office of the Commission on Higher Education, Ministry of Education. The University was established at its present location on July 29, 1973 as a teacher training college under the Ministry of Education.
Due to the change in the function, on February 14, 1992, Surindra Rajabhat Institute was graciously granted by the King. The King’s crest was also granted to Rajabhat Institutes for the symbols. Based on the Rajabhat University Act 2004, REEU is a comprehensive university effective 15 June, 2004.
