SURATTHANI RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY (SUR)

Background

Suratthani Rajbhat University (SRU), is a university under the jurisdiction of the office of the Commission on Higher Education, Ministry of Education. It was initially found as a basic teacher training college in 1973.

Due to the change in functions, the name Rajabhat Institute was graciously granted by the king to all teacher’s training colleges in 1992. The King’s crest was graciously granted by the King to all Rajabhat Institutes for their symbols. Based on the Rajabhat University Act 2004, SRU is a comprehensive university effective in 2004.
